Elena Papadimitriou and Anthony Palaskas started their "Ego Phase" collaboration in 2011.
Their work was presented for the first time in 2015.
Main concept of their work is the painting and sound coexistence in equal parts.
They explore the relationship between visual and sonic arts in order to transform the perception of the viewer in front of a painting to a three dimensional experience.
Their thematic focuses on the human element that is often the starting point for creating an installation. The realistic form of the paintings is joined with the abstract sound forms to create the required by the artists result that is also part of their research: how abstract reality can trigger our perception in front of an artwork.
